Creating margin is building in time for things that have meaning and significance in our lives. It’s creating space to fully experience events, to connect with others, to process memories, to grow, and to heal. It’s vital for our survival and health. It’s being intentional in our self-care. A great book about creating margin and rest is Sacred Rest by Saundra Dalton-Smith, M.D.
Start with margin; ask yourself:
1) Do I have margin in my life for self-care?
2) Do I have a false belief that I am the answer to the problems around me?
3) What needs to go so I can create margin?
4) Where will I build margin in my life?
