Gary Holzhouser, National Challenge Course Co-Director

We’re pleased to announce Gary Holzhouser has agreed to join Preston Wood as the National Challenge Course Co-Director. Gary Holzhouser has been part of the Teen Reach family for a total of 18 years, serving at the local and national levels. Gary and his wife, Palma, were directors of Teen Reach Adventure Camp (T.R.A.C.) in the Salem, Oregon, area for 13 years. He has also been an integral part of T.R.A.C. Challenge Course, serving as a National Challenge Course Trainer (NCCT) for the past 10 years. 

Professionally, Gary is a self-employed craftsman working in both wood and metal. In his spare time, Gary enjoys spending time with Palma and their family. They have 7 children and 14 grandchildren. Gary is also involved in their local church, seeking to hear God’s call on his life while growing in a community of believers. His favorite verse is Psalm 32:8. The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (NLT)
