Skills for a Lifetime

Rob, a mentor through T.R.A.C.life in Omaha, Nebraska, fixed up a car his church planned to donate to Chariots of Hope, a nonprofit that gifts cars to people in need. When the client no longer needed the car, Rob’s pastor asked if he knew of anyone in need of a vehicle.

Rob suggested his mentee. Can you imagine the thrill this young man had when he learned about his new car? Rob taught Samir* to drive as well as how to change the oil and basic car maintenance.

The great relationship the two share is evident in the easy way they communicate. It’s obvious Rob and Samir enjoy spending time together.

As T.R.A.C.life director Mike Lewis said, this young man is learning skills he’ll use for a lifetime!
