Meet one of the New T.R.A.C.life Trainees - A Mentoring Moment
Meet Bill Gent from Jefferson, Oregon, who will be attending T.R.A.C.Iife National Leadership Training this month along with the other trainees. Two new programs will launch mentoring this year after camp and two programs are adding leadership.
Bill was a facilitator at both boys’ and girls’ camp last year as a first-time volunteer. Hooked, he asked T.R.A.C. director Heather how to connect with campers year-round. She shared the mission of T.R.A.C.life. Bill signed up for the gala to learn more!
Mentoring is important to Bill. He wants youth to have safe, fun, loving, caring, positive and nurturing experiences in their lives. T.R.A.C.life allows regular, year-round connection between campers and trusting adults.
When he’s not volunteering at T.R.A.C., Bill enjoys spending time with his family and being active in men’s ministry at his church. Bill loves all things outdoor—backpacking, camping, mountain biking and fishing. His goal is to go snowboarding this year for the first time. Fun fact: Bill is training a 6-year-old Mustang.
Start praying and recruiting leaders now to start a T.R.A.C.life program in your area. Your campers will be grateful.
