Pure Religion Sunday: A day of unity to reflect God’s heart for the orphaned and vulnerable on November 10, 2024, and throughout the year. 

November 10 is a great time to encourage others in our families, churches, and communities by inviting them to get involved in the spaces of foster care and adoption.   

James 1:27 calls us to pure religion that God sees as flawless by: 

1. Visiting orphans and widows in their trouble.  

2. Keeping oneself unspotted from the world. 

Teen Reach is a partner organization with the Christian Alliance for Orphans. CAFO lists three goals for Pure Religion Sunday which includes engaging your people, expanding your ministry, and connecting with others. There are many resources available to make this a simple yet impactful day for churches.  Here are some tools to make your event fun and successful.     

  • Access their event guide which outlines ways to make your event successful, and 

  • Register your event so others can find it. 

  • Wear your Teen Reach logo gear on Pure Religion Sunday.   

  • Set up a table in your church lobby or foyer with safe photos, examples of crafts, or information about volunteer and donation opportunities for camp. 

  • After your event, send your best photos to shea@teenreach.org and we will share them on the Teen Reach social media!
